Mercedes CLC Dream Test Drive is an arcade-style racing game that allows users to "test drive" the Mercedes CLC on four different tracks.

Users will have the choice between two gaming modes: Race and Online Challenge. Race is a pretty straight forward head-to-head race with five other Mercedes CLC Coupes. The online challenge mode is a bit different; it features a solo, single lap timed race, where you're challenged to try and beat your personal best racing time.

Before the race starts, users view their potential vehicle through a showcase preview mode that allows them to choose the color and wheels of their Mercedes CLC. This is the first instance of where Mercedes CLC Dream Test Drive really begins to show off its most impressive feature: the graphic rendering of the Mercedes CLC Coupe. There are nine different colors available like Tenorite Grey, Carneol Red and Jasper Blue. There are also three wheels options: 18" Multi-Spoke, 18" 5-Twin-Spoke and 18" AMG 5-Spoke.

You can choose to race in one of four well-known London areas: Nelson’s Column, Tower Bridge, The Mall and Southbank. Each of these tracks does have their own personal feel to them; so, nothing seems monotonous. Also adding to the unique flair of each track is the fact that Tower Bridge and Nelson’s Column are day tracks; while The Mall and Southbank are night tracks.

There are three difficulties to choose from: Rookie, Intermediate, and Pro. The AI of the other vehicles in Race mode is dependent on the difficulty you choose. There is certainly a discernible difference between all three as the higher difficulty you choose, the more challenging the AI becomes.

However, some quirks are present with Mercedes CLC Dream Test Drive. For example, although the four London racetracks are fun and seem well-rendered, some of them feature such sharp turns that you'll most likely bump into one of the other racers. This type of feature is either loved or loathed by racing game enthusiasts.

On that same note, Mercedes CLC Dream Test Drive doesn’t show impact damage on the vehicle, which is a huge factor for any racing game. However, since Mercedes CLC Dream Test Drive is clearly meant as promotional material for the CLC, it’s clear why the developers would want to leave out impact damage. You may also notice that as you’re racing, the Mercedes CLC Coupe has no driver. It’s a subtle feature that may (or may not) take away from the driving experience of the game. Each track does also feature a longer-than-normal loading period, which, for many modern-day gamers, may be an issue; but you only see it once per race.

It's clear that Mercedes CLC Dream Test Drive is for fans of the Mercedes brand. But those looking for a fun, straightforward arcade-style racing game will also find enjoyment.
